Mommy decided to have a "Leyton morning" and spend the first half of the day with my little guy. We got serious with the play-doh before venturing out of the house, and after that - we took a trip to a new place in the neighborhood called THE SWEET GUY. It is a small little gelato/artisan chocolate/breakfast/lunch place that we hadn't visited yet, and so this morning seemed like the perfect time. Leyton picked out a strawberry-banana muffin, and we sat down to eat some breakfast. One not-so-big bite later, he shot out of his chair and said bye-bye to the staff. It was quite cute.
We made a quick trip to the library after that to explore and look for some new books and DVDs to watch. You would think that any child would be in love with all of the books and videos, etc., but NO, not Leyton. Instead, he shot straight to the computer terminal, sat down, and started typing like he knew what he was doing. He wanted nothing to do with listening to mommy read books in the little people chairs. He jumped out of his computer chair, walked up to me and asked me for a "card" (to slide through the card swiper at the computer terminal - all I could find was a torn off piece of the Stride gum box from my purse to give to him). So, Leyton went back to the computer and slid the Stride package through the card swiper, typed on the keyboard and moved the mouse around a few times. I asked what he was doing, and he said "I go work." It was hilarious. So much for the books!
Big Boy at the Library...Who needs books anyways:)
